I like notebooks in python and also in R. It amazing to have web application that allows you to create and share documents that contain live code, equations, visualizations and explanatory text

I am interested to use the codes in my notebook at home and at my office. Thanks to DropBox. Its one of the greatest solutions for me, I use it to have my files, to sync my zotero database and files, etc.

Open cmd and type jupyter notebook --generate-config

This writes a file to C:\Users\username\.jupyter\jupyter_notebook_config

Change line 179 #c.NotebookApp.notebook_dir = ''

to c.NotebookApp.notebook_dir = 'your path'

Make sure you use forward slashes in your path.

However I did something wrong. I used \ and it didn't work. After I pushed the button on Anaconda it opened a terminal and the terminal was closed briefly after that and nothing happened. It was because I type the path with \ and after I fixed it the problem was solved.

No I am enjoying the notebook.

Widgets add fun to the notebook.
